2. Sweep: Start with basic abs tuck (standing crunch). For that you have to lift one knee using the abs, and bend the other knee to sit slightly on the ground. Bring the rib cage to the bellybutton so that the spine is in C-curve position. Simultaneously, squeeze the oblique on one side to crunch while reaching down for the opposite foot. Do 10 repetitions for each side, then do 10 again (total of 20, alternating after 10).

“It can take 12 minutes or longer for the signal that you’ve started to eat to make its way to your brain,” says Mark S. Gold, M.D., of the McKnight Brain Institute at the University of Florida. Quick tips: Sip some water between every bite of food you eat, or at least eat more meals with friends or family members. You’ll be more likely to talk and therefore to eat more slowly.

This could easily be in the form of walking or some kind of simple exercise, which need not require you going to a gym or using a crash diet.

Successfully flattening your stomach is a matter of burning body fat and building muscle. With these exercises, burning stomach fat, shedding love handles, and building a six pack is completely do-able. So send your body the memo: flat abs are in style and it’s time to get yours!
Just because you may not have access to open water—or a crew team—doesn't mean you can't work this fat-blasting cardio workout into your go-to gym routine. Not only does rowing get your heart rate way up, which helps you blast calories and burn fat, but it also works muscles in your legs, core, arms, shoulders, and back that you may not be used to using, which "surprises" your body and helps you increase muscle, says Penfold. She recommends this belly fat-blasting circuit, which is great for beginners and pros alike: Begin with 20 seconds of rowing followed by 10 seconds of rest, and look at how many meters you traveled in that time. (Don't get off the rowing machine or even let go of the handle when you rest, says Penfold.) Repeat this eight times, trying to beat your distance each time. When you're finished with this 4-minute circuit, row a fast 500 meters and note how long it takes you. "That's the number you'll want to match or beat during your next rowing session," says Penfold.

Green, black, and oolong tea contain the amino acid theanine, which brings on a state of mental calmness yet alertness. No matter how much we try or want to, we don’t get to workout and go to the gym nearly as we’d like to. With work, school, studying, relationships, friends, family, and just about everything else on our plate–we barely have time to breathe, let alone get dressed and get in the gym. We’ll do just about anything to get an easy workout in when life gets jam-packed, so when we find exercises we can do from our chair in the office (or even at school), it’s promising.

Are you finding it difficult to fit into your little black number? Is belly fat giving you sleepless nights? If your answer is yes, you need to make some lifestyle changes to get the figure of your dreams. No doubt, belly fat looks aesthetically displeasing. It can assume serious proportions and affect long term health, if not curbed at the right time.

Visceral fat, commonly known as belly fat, is the layer of fat below the muscles of your abdomen. Due to its crucial location surrounding many of your vital organs, belly fat supplies a constant source of energy but also exposes the body to harmful toxins and hormones. When you have too many fat cells or your fat cells get too large, they can overproduce toxins that increase your risk for chronic inflammation, diabetes, heart disease and cancer. This is why belly fat can be more dangerous than subcutaneous fat—or the outer layer of fat that you can pinch with your fingers. That said, the reason you're having trouble buttoning your pants may not be visceral fat: what we're calling "belly fat" these days could be bloating or water retention rather than a fat buildup. Read on for steps you can take to beat the bulge.
3. Tabata: Tabata is another form of interval training and involves 8 rounds of 20 seconds exercise followed by 10 seconds rest. Sounds easy enough but exercise should be done at a high intensity. This exercise can be done using rowing machines, dumbbells or thrusters. This is a tough exercise and is best for those who have very less time in their hands.
The easiest way to achieve this is by lowering your food intake and moving more. Set yourself a calorie target and focus on eating nutrient rich whole foods – consisting of vegetables, lean meats and fish, and some complex carbohydrates around workouts. Also aim to avoid drinking too many calories, dodge the lattes on the way to work, and, where possible ditch the post work drinks as they are guilty of pushing you over your calorie target with very little nutritional value.
Make sure that you keep your arms straight through the entire movement so that you are able to get the full effects of this exercise. You can think of this as a seated crunch with a slight rotation. If you have a bad back, this exercise, like the seated helicopter rotation, will help loosen up your spine which can get very tight when you are sitting for long periods of time.
If cutting calories is your only weight-loss strategy, you'll need to keep your calories low for a very long time to ensure that you don't gain the weight back. Many people justify this, telling themselves "it's worth it and I'll just adjust to eating less." Unfortunately, research shows that you don't adjust to eating less and that even after a year of calorie restriction, one of your hunger hormones, grehlin, is as high as ever, making you as hungry as the first day you set out on your lean body journey.
